Fridays Beach Resort To Open Branch In Puerto Galera

Fridays Boracay Beach Resort, a world-renowned premiere resort nestled on Boracays pristine white beach, is now expanding to help boost tourism in the Philippines. With its recent ground breaking and construction of the resort-hotel at Boquete Beach in the lagoons of Puerto Galera, Fridays Puerto Galera is expected to open next year catering to foreign and local clients, with the first 18 rooms to be opened to loyal clients before the December The Fridays holiday period.

Boquete Beach at Puerto Galera was designed to have 75 rooms, with spa and idyllic carefree resort features, and most importantly, conforming to indigenous design and environmentally blended architecture, once fully completed at end 2010. Boulevard Holdings Inc. appointed the same world class architects from the Maldives, who have listed Conde Nast Traveler ranked properties such as the Four Seasons Kuda Huraa Resort Hotel of 120 rooms at Kuda Huraa Atoll Maldives and many more, as some of their projects.

Fridays Boracay and Fridays Boquete Beach resorts are owned and developed by Boulevard Holdings Inc. Just recently, BHI disclosed the sale of 100% of its interest in Alliance Technologies Corporation (ATC) and Avrion Systems, Inc. (ASI), old information technology (IT) industry players in the telecommunications equipment business for contact centers and enterprises. The company declared that Alliance Technologies Corporation and Avrion Systems, Inc. would no longer be connected with the hotel, property and investment holding company.

BHI Chairman, Jose Marcel Panlilio said that, We are mindful that our board directors, investors and clients have recognized the value of investment and concentration in the resort hotel business. Selling ATC and ASI is a major decision and a challenge that we have to face. With the current economic crisis, the company decided to invest in something that will help the country boost tourism and gain premium profits as well. The yield is better.

The company expects to add to overall sales with the full opening of Fridays Boquete Beach at Puerto Galera at the end of 2010. According to Mrs. Nicole Morris, Sr. Adviser to Fridays Resorts, There have already been many pre-bookings for the Fridays Puerto Galera unit from our loyal client lists of 29,000 repeat guests from the Fridays Boracay Resort. We are hopeful with the right execution of the project we shall deliver.

BHI also estimates the employment of 220 people for Fridays Puerto Galera, tourism being deemed as an alternative to help fight unemployment in the country. With this, Panlilio remarked, Resort developers like us and many others, for as long as they continue to do sensible and environmentally blended resorts and resort destination infrastructure, while getting their economic payback, will help the country ease its way out of the global slump and temporary tourism decline.

Ski Breaks To The Iconic Swiss Resort Of Zermatt

Spectacularly situated at the foot of the Matterhorn, the Swiss resort of Zermatt has the reputation of being a world-class resort with plenty to offer in the way of fantastic skiing, picturesque surroundings and a dynamic aprs-ski scene. Two members of the Flexiski UK team Pete Hillyard and Amy Askew recently travelled out to Zermatt to discover what makes this Swiss ski resort so iconic.

On arrival into Geneva they caught the train up to the town of Visp and from there took the connection to Zermatt. The train journey up to the resort is beautiful and in itself, offers a unique transfer option and fantastic start to a ski holiday in Zermatt. The train station within the resort is situated just off the pedestrianised high street ensuring an easy arrival into this chocolate-box, car-free village.

Amy and Pete were staying in the Hotel Mirabeau where they took advantage of the hotels luxurious spa facilities and woke up to sunny views of the Matterhorn from their balconies. As well as the Hotel Mirabeau, they visited several other hotels in Zermatt which will all be featured in the flexiski programme for the 2011/12 ski season. They found all of the hotel staff extremely welcoming and the standard of the hotels to be exceptionally high.

On their first day in Zermatt, they took a trip on Europes highest-altitude cable car up to the Matterhorn glacier which sits at 3883m. Unfortunately, they didnt have time to sample the summer skiing but from the top of the cable car they were able to gain an insight of what the skiing in Zermatt is like, with views across this incredible ski terrain.

After their trip up the glacier and various meetings with hotels, the tourist board and Ski Summit (a local ski school), Amy and Pete spent the evening strolling around the picture post-card village centre and sampling the reputable nightlife of Zermatt. As a year round resort, the streets are never empty and so even in the summer months the bars are lively, the restaurants are full and there is a general buzz around town.

On the first night of their trip they ate at the Pizza and Spaghetti Factory, an impressive restaurant spread over three levels within the contemporary Post Hotel (which incidentally seems to be the most popular night-spot of the resort with its 4 restaurants and 5 bars and clubs). On the second night they opted for a more traditional restaurant, the Caf du Pont which offers delicious Swiss cuisine at great value. They were pleased to discover that with regards to dining in Zermatt, there is something to suit all tastes and budgets, from gourmet Swiss cuisine to laid back pizzerias.

There was only one thing left to do before Pete and Amys departure! After Pascal at the tourist office advised that the Zermatt experience is only truly complete once you have danced on the barrel in the Broken Bar or taken a trip on the Gornergrat Railway, they sensibly opted for the latter and embarked on a breath-taking ascent up the mountain. This historic railway is not only an iconic part of Zermatts heritage, it also serves an important function during the winter months and acts as one of three main ski lifts transporting skiers from the resort centre up onto the mountain. The 30 minute journey takes you through idyllic forests, across viaducts and over beautiful mountain scenery, terminating at 3100m on a sunny platform with impressive views of the glacier and the Matterhorn.

Amy and Pete departed from the resort feeling like they had experienced all of whats on offer in this beautiful town and were reassured that Zermatt will be a perfect fit within the flexiski resort portfolio.

A Jamaica Vacation is a Great Adventure

Montego Bay frequently referred to as Mobay by neighbors is the second largest town of Jamaica. The city has its own airfield so visitors can fly in immediately to the town through the Sanger World airfield. The airfield is mins away from the opulent hostels and resorts in Mobay and virtually all of these resorts will transport guests from the airfield to their accommodation. Some of the most lovely beaches in the world can be discovered in this attractive city. Doctor’s Cavern Beach renowned for its fabulous white sands and blue shore is one place you must visit while on your Montego Bay holiday.

About 5 miles long, there are numerous restaurants and bars along the beach. Doctor’s Cavern Beach is also ideal if you’re a water activities fanatic since the water is conducive to these sports. Cornwall Beach another perfect beach in Mobay is also suited for lounging and watersports due to the calm waters. If rafting is your thing then you need to pay a trip to Martha Brae’s village and experience the quaint site as you sail along the banks. If finding a reasonable place to remain while in Montego Bay is a concern you really ought to know that there are lots of beach front hostels and all inclusive resorts with costs to fit any budget. The all inclusive resorts may appear dear at first sight but a lot of them include tours, activities, meals and transport in their packages so the final cost is frequently quite cheap. p.

To experience a tiny amount of the history of the island you can lodge at Rose Hall which actually is the hottest Grand House on Mobay. In past times Rose Hall served as a sugar plantation and the owners have been able to maintain the old world charm while offering modern conveniences. Bird watchers can experience the thrill of viewing some of the most rare and most beautiful birds in the world by paying a trip to Rocklands Feeding Station. Found in the southern part of Mobay, the Rocklands is home to rare species like Doctor Bird, the nation’s bird of Jamaica, mango hummingbird and the orange give up.

It’s also one of the few places that visitors are able to engage with the birds. If journey is your thing then you can’t leave the island without paying a trip to the Ipswich Caves found in the dense mountain woods of this part of Jamaica.

These caves are all carved from limestone and the view there is absolutely worth the trek thru the woods which in and of itself is an expedition of its own. From laying on the beach, to water activities, to a jungle journey in the woods your holiday to Montego Bay is certainly a holiday to recollect. One of the preferred visitor attractions almost anyplace globally, if you ask just about any vacationer trying to find rest and relaxation, would be a spot where the weather is nice and it’s close to the water or the sea. It is for that reason that one of the most well liked holiday maker attractions in the world has been Jamaica in the Caribbean islands. Jamaica has been referred to by many travel authorities as being a tropical heaven. A Jamaica holiday at any of the major Jamaican locations includes gorgeous temperate weather, white sandy beaches, beautiful mountain ranges which produce some of the most impressive sunsets ever seen together with a large range of things worth doing, from shopping to casinos to first-class golf to a few of the friendliest and most active nightlife seen anywhere. What else could one ask for? The lodging options for your Jamaica holiday run the gamut. You can go for the bed-and-breakfast option, where such opportunities are abundant, and permit you to begin to know the neighbors a bit better together with getting a better sense of what it is like to live in Jamaica and a flavour for the culture and customs. You can select a mid range hotel, which is similar to mid range hostels found across the US. And you may also select the all inclusive top quality resorts, of which Jamaica boasts several. In reality, Jamaica was the home of one of the first all inclusive resorts, where one price includes almost everything.

At these resorts, almost everything you might need is all without the resort itself.
